Welcome to the Universal Video Speed Controller. By downloading, installing, or using the browser extension or our marketing landing pages, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.

1. Open Source & Licensing

The Universal Video Speed Controller is an open-source project. The source code is licensed under the terms of the MIT License. You are permitted to view, clone, modify, and distribute the code in accordance with the license constraints, provided that copies of the software maintain the original copyright notice.

2. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the compatibility of the Extension with all video streaming sites, the absence of minor bugs, or the continuous availability of custom speed overrides on third-party video players.

3. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the author (Danish Ansari) or contributors be held liable for any damages, data losses, browser performance issues, or tab crashes arising from the use or inability to use the Extension, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

4. Acceptable Usage Policy

You agree to use the Extension only for lawful purposes. You shall not attempt to use the Extension to bypass payment portals, violate third-party digital rights management (DRM) restrictions, or interfere with security barriers implemented on video hosting platforms.

5. Third-Party Websites

The Extension operates on video content hosted by third-party services (e.g., YouTube, Netflix, Coursera). We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy settings, cookie management, or terms of service of these third-party platforms.

6. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the local laws applicable to the developer, without regard to conflict of law principles.
